Chateau Grand Verdus Mondet Bordeaux 2019
A little more “serious”, but still delicious expression of Cab Franc, this is the most classically “Bordeaux” of all three wines, but is still slightly unusual, not least for being 100% Cab Franc. This is macerated in concrete tanks for 20 days before aging for a year in 400L used oak barrels. Notes of blackberries and currants, with pepper, some light grassiness and some green pepper. Dark red robe. Incredibly smooth texture.
