Description
This is one of the few Burgundian appellations that can include other grapes besides Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but Domaine de la Poulette have chosen to make a 100% Pinot that embodies the particularities of this region, which extends into the cooler hills outside of the Côte d’Or. 100% Pinot Noir. Sour cherry, black cherries and raspberries on the nose. Light ruby robe. This is a very light and pretty Pinot with some unexpected concentration on the midpalate, showing the value of their commitment to low-yield vines even for their more “everyday” wines. Tart black-cherry acidity and very soft tannins on the finish.
