Grapes grown in Treiso and faces Neive, this site has always been well-known for high quality Barbera production. The gentle slope of this part of the hill (“Piani” in Italian means flat) and the higher percentage of clay have created here a perfect soil for the Barbara variety. 100% Barbera. Maceration in stainless steel cask, then ageing for about 8-9 months in oak barrels (30-40% in barrique and the remaining in 50 hl barrels). Notes of blackberry and plum. The colour is red ruby bright and intense. Barbera’s amplitude is very interesting together with its persistent finish.
